Being Buttinski...

Hey everyone,

How are you? 

As this is my first post, I thought I'd introduce the blog a little. I want to keep this blog as anonymous as I can, so I'm going to go by the name of Buttinski. Yep, it may sound a little strange, or like somebody's surname but it actually means 'friend or advisor' and that's exactly what I want this blog to be about. Somewhere you can turn to for advice or a friendly voice. 

I've had blogs in the past that have had specific niches and topics but I'd like this one to just be somewhere to jot down my thoughts and feelings. If anyone does stumble upon this blog then I'd love for you to stick around, maybe something I say could help you or you may be able to relate to something I've been through too.

So... I had surgery (again)

Hey everyone, I'm currently 5 days post-op after my laparoscopy on Wednesday. To cut a long story short... I have Endometriosis. I've been having pretty bad pains since my last surgery 4 years ago (which was a much bigger surgery but relating to the same area). I saw my doctor who was lovely and really listened to what I was saying. That's not easy to do in a 10 minute consultation. She said it sounded either like I had adhesions from my last operation or that I might have something called Endometriosis or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. How I'm feeling 5 days post-op (Laparoscopy)

Hey, It's Monday, the start of a new week and day 5 of my recovery from my laparoscopy.  I'm feeling sore today. Gas pains have definitely gone down and now I'm starting to feel more pain from the incisions and all the work I've had done inside. I'm definitely less exhausted than I was, but I'm starting to get headaches and backache and just generally feeling a bit uncomfortable.  The only trouble with starting to feel a bit better, is that I feel more human again. That doesn't sound like a bad thing, but it means I feel like I can do what I did before, and I definitely can't yet. Even silly things like making myself some lunch, I feel like I can do that now. But then I definitely suffer for it later in aches and pains and tiredness.  I need to realise how much my body has been through in the past 2 weeks, and let it heal.
